About this coffee

Produced by C. Dormans and sourced through the CAPROCA Washing Station, this naturally processed coffee showcases the vibrant character of Rwanda's high-altitude Arabica. Drying the cherries with the fruit intact enhances sweetness and fruit complexity, resulting in a cup with juicy berry notes, bright acidity, and a rich, rounded finish.

The region

Located in Nyamasheke near the shores of Lake Kivu, the CAPROCA Washing Station works with local smallholder farmers to produce exceptional coffees. High elevations, fertile soils, and a temperate climate create ideal growing conditions, allowing the region's coffees to develop their distinctive clarity and depth of flavour.

History of coffee in COLOMBIA

Coffee was introduced to Rwanda in the early 20th century and has since become an important part of the country's agricultural landscape. Today, Rwanda is recognised as one of Africa's leading specialty coffee origins, celebrated for its quality-focused production, innovative processing methods, and beautifully expressive coffees.
