About this coffee

An anaerobic natural from the volcanic slopes of Mount Elgon, Uganda — this is a fruit-forward yet composed lot with real depth. Expect mango, tropical fruit, and cherry liqueur up front, with dark chocolate and stone fruit lending structure beneath. The body is tea-like and refined, with an expressive, lingering finish that rewards attention.

The region

Mount Elgon sits on the Uganda–Kenya border, a high-altitude volcanic region where fertile soils and a cool, temperate climate converge. The conditions here consistently produce coffees with clarity, natural sweetness, and a distinct, vivid fruit character — and this lot is no exception.

History of coffee in UGANDA

Uganda’s coffee story spans over a century of cultivation, rooted in its indigenous Robusta. Today, a growing specialty sector is reshaping the narrative—elevating both high-altitude Arabica and refined Robusta through improved processing and greater traceability, and earning Ugandan coffees the recognition they’ve long deserved.
