Origin Barista Academy - Covid-19 Practices
There’s no time like the present to build your coffee skills.
We have looked at best practices across mulltiple industries and we have determined that with some special steps we can welcome you into the academy for some selected courses. We have also adjusted these to fewer students in order to best ensure safety while still allowing the school to operate.
- Surfaces and machines will be sanitized throughout each day. Surfaces will be deep cleaned at the start and end of every day of all courses.
- Students and instructors will have their temperatures checked and recorded before entering the academy.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to the academy and we kindly request that this is used when entering or exiting the academy.
- Masks will be worn by both students and instructors for the duration of the course, excluding when a drink needs to be tasted.
- To allow for effective social distancing, only 2 students will be allowed per course - one per espresso station. This will allow each student to have a machine, station and tasting cups for themselves. (from April, courses will move to a maximum of 4 students).
- Each student will use their own cups. All cups will be thoroughly sanitized in hot water in our dishwashers throughout the course.
